Touring Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire can be great fun, with an abundance of Historical places of interest to visit.
Chatsworth House with it's unique setting and estate is a worthwhile visit with gardens, fountains and Deer in the grounds of this stately House. Haddon Hall in Derbyshire and Little Morton Hall in Cheshire are very similar in half timber design of their era, a 'must visit' for their Historical background. Gawsworth Hall in Cheshire is similar but on a smaller scale with it's own water fronted views, all offering House tours of great interest. Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield with it's unique architecture is a stunning building to look at, here again it is set in beautiful grounds with a lake and picturesque bridge. Tatton Hall in Cheshire is a vast walled in estate covering a large area and houses a wonderful herd of Stags and Deer. The Hall is adjacent to a Chinese garden and the restaurant is part of the old stables and courtyard. Lyme Park near Disley in Cheshire also has a herd of Stags and Deer and has a stately Hall which was transformed into an Italianate Palace and was used for the filming of the TV 'Pride and Prejudice'.
